WARNER ROBINS -- Northside High School’s win over Warner Robins High School in a Sept. 18 home match was the Lady Eagles’ first-ever against their rival in a volleyball contest that counted toward area standings. It came near the end of a long night of matches at Northside High where the host, Warner Robins and Houston County opened Area 2-AAAAA play with games against one another. Northside’s 26-24, 25-13 sweep meant each team left the building with a win and a loss. Houston County scored a two-games-to-one win over Northside in the first match of the evening. The Lady Bears then lost to Warner Robins by the same count.
