Barbara J. Stickel Central Georgia Health System Endowed Presidential Scholarship in Nursing – Established by Central Georgia Health System, to honor Barbara J. Stickel, retired nursing officer and her distinguished 40-year career of recognized leadership in the field of nursing. This scholarship will be awarded to a high-achieving incoming freshman pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing at Macon State College who is notable for: exemplifying academic excellence on national achievement exams; earning a 3.5 high school GPA; and, preferably, demonstrating service to others. The scholarship is renewable for a maximum of three consecutive years, provided the recipient maintains a minimum 3.0 GPA and is making satisfactory progress toward graduation.
