David A. Bell Endowed Presidential Scholarship for the Humanities

David A. Bell Endowed Presidential Scholarship for the Humanities - The Macon State College Foundation Board of Trustees established this scholarship to honor David A. Bell, Ph.D. for his exemplary leadership of Macon State during the College's most accelerated growth in its history, 1997-2011. This scholarship serves as a lasting tribute to Dr. Bell for his many contributions to Macon State, the region and its citizens. The scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman who achieved 1200 or greater on the reading and math portion of the SAT, 3.5 high school GPA and plans to pursue a bachelor's degree at Macon State majoring in humanities, including but not limited to, English, history, philosophy and the arts. The scholarship is renewable for a maximum of three consecutive years, provided the recipient maintains a minimum 3.0 GPA and is making satisfactory progress toward graduation.
